Equipped with a fleyeVision 100% defect detection system, the machine is capable of inspecting each individual label for defects such as colour variation, missing text, mis-register and extraneous text. Report files can be generated that can be electronically archived or printed directly for sending to the customer as a proof of inspection. The software has been recently upgraded to scan bar codes for readability on each label including 2D data matrix codes.
Mr. Chandan Khanna, owner of Ajanta Packaging FZC states, “We have been on the lookout for a slitting and inspection system for some time now and with the excellent references that AB Graphic International has in the market place, the Omega SR 410 was our obvious choice. The after sales service provided by SPES in the UAE is well known and I have known the Indian promoters of the company for many years now and have full confidence in their support.”
Tony Bell of AB Graphic International adds, “For the past few years we have not been paying enough attention to the Middle Eastern market. Starting in 2009 we have made this our priority market. You will see a lot of sales, marketing and service support going into developing this market and we will be showcasing our entire product range in the months to come. We are working on some innovative new projects for installation in the region.”
Malkhan Ram of SPES concludes, “While SPES has made significant in-roads into the security printing market in the region with 80% market share in cheque printing machines, our next area of focus is label printing and finishing. Our product range offers innovative solutions for the printing of labels with all technologies including offset, flexo, letterpress and digital plus a wide selection of finishing and inspection solutions.”
